Grand Exchange

The Grand Exchange is the server's player market. It runs as an order book: you post buy or sell orders, and the exchange matches them automatically, even while you are offline. It handles both items and Pokemon in the same market.

How to access

/ge, /gts, and /grandexchange all open the same exchange hub. Useful shortcuts:

  • /ge buy starts a buy order, /ge sell starts a sell order.
  • /ge search <item> opens a buy order pre-filtered to what you typed.
  • /ge recent shows recently posted orders you can buy out directly.
  • /ge orders opens My Orders, where you claim proceeds and cancel listings.

How orders match

Every listing rests on the book until it fills or you cancel it. There is no time limit and no expiry.

  • A sell order escrows your goods and waits for a buyer. A buy order escrows your money and waits for a seller.
  • Orders match when prices cross. Trades always execute at the resting order's price, and equal-priced orders fill in the order they were posted.
  • If your buy order fills below the price you set, the difference is refunded to you.
  • You can never match your own orders.

You can also skip the book entirely and buy out a specific listing you see in the recent orders feed at its asking price.

While you set a price, the exchange shows the average price the item has ever sold for and how many units are currently listed for sale and wanted, so you can price against the live market.

Order pages

Your My Orders capacity is paged, 6 order panels per page, and the number of pages you have unlocked scales with your donor rank:

Listing rules

Rule Value
Active listings per player up to 60
Price range $1 to $1,000,000,000 per unit
Quantity range 1 to 1,000,000
Listing fee, sales tax, commission none

There are no fees of any kind. Buyers pay exactly the price times quantity, and sellers keep the full sale price.

What you can list

Most items and Pokemon can be listed, with a few sensible blocks:

  • Admin and editor tools and prison pickaxes cannot be listed.
  • Containers with items still inside (shulker boxes, filled bags) must be emptied first.
  • Blank TMs with no move set cannot be listed.
  • Items or Pokemon with an offensive custom name (or an offensive book title or page) are rejected.
  • You cannot list the last Pokemon in your party.

Listing a Pokemon removes it from your party or PC and holds it in escrow until the sale completes or you cancel. When buying a Pokemon you can either post a species buy order with attribute requirements (form, palette, ability, nature, gender, breedable status, minimum IVs and EVs) or buy out a specific listed Pokemon.

Item buy orders can carry requirements too, so the order only fills against stock that meets them: minimum enchantment levels, minimum durability, and essence jar color and fill.

Collecting and cancelling

Everything is managed from My Orders (/ge orders). On an order's panel, a normal click claims what you have earned so far (money, bought items, or bought Pokemon), and a shift-click cancels the order and returns your unsold goods or unspent escrow to be claimed. Items that overflow your inventory drop at your feet; a Pokemon that will not fit stays waiting until you make room in your party or PC.

Tip

Because there are no fees, the Grand Exchange is the cheapest way to move goods between players. Post a buy order below market and let sellers come to you, or undercut the cheapest sell order to move stock fast.
