Getting Started

New to PixelmonMMO? This page walks you through your first session.

Joining

  1. Add pixelmonmmo.com to your server list and connect.
  2. Accept the resource pack when prompted. It contains custom items, menus, and music the server relies on.
  3. Choose your starter Pokemon and step into the world.

When you first reach the overworld, the server greets you with a short welcome and a few clickable guide links in chat. The first thing it suggests is finding a spot to call home.

Your first hour

  • Open the menu. /menu is your hub. From it you can reach the story regions, your skills, stats, badge case, achievements, player settings, rewards, and warps to spawn, shops, and every world.
  • Follow the story. Each region has a quest line that guides you from town to town, gym to gym. Run /quest to see your current objective, or open /story to browse a region's cities, routes, and gyms. Story NPCs only battle you when you are on their step, so you cannot break your progress by wandering.
  • Catch everything. Every catch pays out money, and rare catches are broadcast to the whole server. Check /ballranks to see how catch rates work.
  • Claim your rewards. /rewards is the one-stop hub for your Daily Claim, login streaks, playtime rewards, and free kits. You can also open them directly with /claimdaily, /streaks, /playtimerewards, and /kits.
  • Set your look. /settings (also in /menu) lets you change your name and chat colors, titles, particles, notifications, and sounds. Some options unlock with donation ranks.

Claiming your land

Your build and your items are protected inside a claim.

  • Hold a golden shovel and right-click two opposite corners of the area you want to claim.
  • Hold a stick and right-click inside a claim to see its borders.
  • Manage claims with /claims and /claimmanager, and let friends build with /trust <player>.
  • Set a home with /sethome home, return with /home home, and explore with /rtp.
  • New to any of this? Type /guide, or jump straight to /guide homes, /guide claims, and /guide towns.

Making your first money

  • Sell spare catches with /pokesell or the quick-sell prompt after each catch.
  • Sell items with /sellgui, /sellinv, or /sellhand.
  • Check /moneymaking for a full menu of ways to earn.

Quality of life

A few commands make daily play smoother:

  • /rtp drops you at a random spot in the world to explore or gather. It has a short 3-second cooldown.
  • /sethome saves your current spot and /home teleports you back to it. List your homes with /homes and remove one with /delhome. How many homes you can set scales with your rank, from 3 up to 80.
  • /pokeheal fully heals your party wherever you are. There is no cooldown at Great rank and above; lower ranks wait 15 or 30 minutes between heals.
  • Bigger stacks. The server raises the stack size of common Pixelmon consumables such as Rare Candies, potions, healing items, and bottle caps to 64, so they take up far less bag space than usual.
