Eternal Tier

Eternal is the fifth rung of the tier ladder: Shadow, Corrupt, Void, Abyss, Eternal, Infinity. It sits one step above Abyss and one below Infinity, the top tier.

Getting an Eternal Pokemon

Eternal is reached only at the Cloning Machine, by upgrading an Abyss Pokemon.

Step Max success (three Netherite) On failure
Abyss to Eternal 12% keeps its tier (stays Abyss)

Level cap

Tier Level cap
Eternal 400

An Eternal Pokemon earns battle experience normally and levels to 400. Exp Candies (XS through XL) work. Rare Candies and rare sodas never work on any tiered Pokemon.

Stat scaling

Eternal is about double the Normal base (each stat multiplied by 2).

Stat Normal Bulbasaur Eternal Bulbasaur
HP 45 90
Attack 49 98
Defense 49 98
Sp. Atk 65 130
Sp. Def 65 130
Speed 45 90
Total 318 636

Look

  • Name color: a gold to yellow to gold gradient.
  • Aura: columns of flame rise from a ring around the Pokemon, each one climbing from black through gold and yellow to white.

Tier rules

  • Evolves within its tier. Where the line evolves, an Eternal Pokemon evolves into the Eternal form of its next stage.
  • Shadow Moves and tier effectiveness. It fights with Shadow Moves, which compare tiers instead of types: a higher-tier attacker deals double, an equal or lower tier deals half. Eternal beats every tier below it and loses out only to Infinity.
  • No heart gauge, no Hyper/Reverse Mode.

Purification

Purifying returns the Pokemon all the way to its Normal form and swaps its Shadow Moves back to a regular moveset. From Eternal, the only route is a Time Flute; the Purification Shrine only accepts a gauge-empty Shadow Pokemon.
