WonderTrade

Send one of your Pokemon into a shared pool and instantly receive a random Pokemon in return. You never see what you are getting until it lands in your party. What other players deposit is what you might pull out.

How to access

  • /wondertrade (alias /wt) opens the WonderTrade menu.
  • /wt <slot> trades a specific party slot (1 to 6) directly, without opening the menu.

In the menu your party sits in the middle row. Click a Pokemon to select it (it starts glowing), click it again to deselect, then click the confirm button in the center to send it off.

How a trade works

When you trade, the pool hands you a random Pokemon and takes your submission in its place. The system tries to give you a different species from the one you sent. There is no rarity guarantee: you might receive anything another player deposited, from a throwaway to something great.

Every trade is a net zero swap. The Pokemon you receive is removed from the pool and the one you send is added, so the pool stays the same size. The pool was first seeded with roughly one Pokemon per species, so it always has variety.

If you receive a shiny, legendary, or mythical Pokemon, the server announces it to everyone.

Rules and limits

Rule Value
Party slots you can trade from 1 to 6
Cooldown between trades 10 minutes
Pay to skip the cooldown $50,000
Trading while in battle Not allowed
Cost of a normal trade Free

If you do not want to wait out the cooldown, the confirm button will offer to clear it for $50,000.

What you can trade

There is no fee to trade and no restriction on the species you send in, so think before you commit: a WonderTrade is blind and final. The Pokemon that seed the pool are level 10 to 50, so most pulls sit in that range. Seeded Pokemon carry at least one perfect IV (occasionally more) and have a small chance to be shiny, so the pool is not all filler.

Tip

WonderTrade is a lottery, not a market. If you want a fair, priced exchange with another player, use the Grand Exchange instead.
