AFK Fishing

The Skill World fishing docks, on the east of the hub ring, let you train Fishing hands-off. Cast any rod, vanilla or Pixelmon, into the dock water and you can leave it: the dock reels itself.

How it works

Cast your bobber into the dock. When it lands you get the message "Sit back and let the fish come to you!" From then on the dock auto-fishes without you reeling: each bite launches the catch to you with its Fishing XP. You can also reel in manually and the catch pays the same.

  • There is no level gate on the docks, so any Fishing level can use them.
  • Bites speed up with your Fishing level: roughly 360 catches per hour at level 1 rising to about 640 at level 99.
  • Rod durability is rolled per catch and Pixelmon rods wear far slower than the vanilla rod: about 100 AFK catches for a vanilla rod versus 250 (Old), 500 (Good), 1,000 (Super), and 2,000 (Oas). Full charts on Pixelmon Tools. The AFK Efficiency perk can remove the wear entirely.
  • Skill Points accrue per catch, from about 50 per hour at level 1 up to about 1,000 per hour at level 99.
  • A full inventory routes catches through the AFK Overflow perk if you own it.

Dock catches

Half of all bites pull from your unlocked custom fish pool, and the hub pond stocks every species your level has unlocked regardless of biome. Custom catches roll real weights, count toward the Fishing Compendium and record boards, and pay XP by their value. The other bites use the dock loot table; each tier pays a base Fishing XP that scales with your AFK XP Boost tier:

Tier Base XP Catches
Junk 250 leather, string, bowl, stick, bone, rotten flesh, lily pad
Common fish 400 cod, salmon
Uncommon fish 600 tropical fish, pufferfish
Treasure 850 nautilus shell, name tag, saddle, ink sac
Rare Treasure 1,000 heart of the sea

Regular fish also roll weights and count toward your records. Prestiging Fishing lowers the XP you earn afterward by 5 percent per prestige rank.

Poke Ball finds

From Fishing level 5 up, catches have a chance to bring up a Poke Ball: 3 percent at level 5, 6 percent at 15, 9 percent at 25, and 10 percent from level 95. About 1 find in 200 is a Master or Park Ball jackpot, announced to the server. The Seeker enchant raises the find rate, and the Found Ball Storage perk (Fishing 36) banks finds straight into your Poke Bags.

Wearing the Fishing Visor from the Skill Item Shop gives every catch a 1 in 20 chance to pull a second, independently rolled fish.
