Referrals¶
Bring a friend to the server, or thank the friend who brought you. When you name the player who referred you, both of you receive rewards instantly. Every referral you rack up also counts toward an all-time leaderboard and a monthly contest with prizes for the top three.
How to access¶
Open the referral hub with /refer. It is a small menu with four buttons.

Naming your referrer¶
The referrer choice is permanent and can only be made once, ever. To make it:
- Meet the requirements: at least 2 hours of total playtime and at least 1 earned gym badge. (If you have no badge yet, open
/menu, click Story Worlds, choose a region, click Gyms, and beat the first Gym.) - Click Select the player who referred you. This opens a list of players who are online right now.
- Click the head of the player who brought you in. The choice locks in on that click, with no second confirm screen, so pick the right player.
Your referrer must be online at the moment you pick them. You can name anyone online except yourself, whether or not they have a referrer of their own, and there is no limit on how many players can name the same person. Once chosen, the button on the hub shows who you were referred by and cannot be used again.
What you both receive¶
The moment you confirm, both you and your referrer instantly get:

Keys open Mystery Chests. If a player is offline, or their inventory is full, the reward is held safely in their /lostitems reclaim bank.
Leaderboards¶
- Referral Highscores ranks every player by their all-time referral total. This board never resets.
- Monthly Referral Contest ranks players by referrals made in the current calendar month.
Both boards show players as heads with their name and referral count. Your own total is shown on the Highscores button in the hub.
Monthly contest¶
Every calendar month, the top three referrers win prizes. Standings reset on the 1st of each month, when the previous month's winners are paid and the results are announced to the whole server. Months are tracked on Eastern time.

Prizes are delivered straight to online winners, with any overflow, or all of it for offline winners, sent to the /lostitems reclaim bank.
Tips¶
- You can only ever choose one referrer, and the choice locks in the instant you click their head, so make sure you pick the right player.
- Time your choice for when your referrer is online. The picker only lists players currently on the server.
- Refer as many new players as you can before the 1st to climb the monthly board and claim a prize.
