Black Market¶
The Black Market is the server's live auction house. Every so often a single lot goes up for bidding, and players compete for it with money held in escrow from their bank balance. Win the auction, then run /claimauction to collect your prize. Lots range from stacks of keys and tokens up to Legendary and Mythical Pokemon.

How auctions run¶
- A new auction starts a random 30 to 60 minutes after the last one ends, and only one runs at a time.
- Each auction lasts 10 minutes of bidding, with warnings in chat at 5 minutes and 1 minute left.
- If a bid lands with under 10 seconds on the clock, the timer resets to 10 seconds, so a lot cannot be sniped at the last instant.
Bidding and escrow¶
All bidding is done through the auction window, not chat.
- The first bid must match the lot's starting bid.
- After that, left-click adds $10,000 and shift-click adds $100,000 to your bid.
- When you bid, the full amount is taken from your bank right away and held in escrow. You cannot raise your own bid while you are already the top bidder.
- If someone outbids you, your escrow is refunded in full immediately (or the next time you log in, if you are offline).
- The winner's escrow is simply kept as payment, so you are never charged twice.
What gets auctioned¶
Lots are drawn from a large reward pool, so you never know what will come up next. It includes:
- Keys, candies, tokens, bonds, Mystery Goo, XP lamps, card packs, and other special items.
- The occasional Master Ball or Park Ball.
- Legendary and Mythical Pokemon, all at level 50.
When a Pokemon lot rolls, it gets a 50% chance to be Shiny, which doubles the starting bid. If it is not Shiny, it gets a 50% chance to spawn with a Texture Key palette for that species (like Galaxy Rayquaza), which raises the starting bid by half. Starting bids across the pool run from a few thousand dollars ($5,000 for Mystery Goo) up into the millions for the top prizes.
A few limited items retire for good once ten of them have been won, so some lots will never come up again.
Claiming your prize¶
Winning does not hand you the prize automatically. Run /claimauction to collect it. Items need a free inventory slot (otherwise they drop at your feet), and Pokemon go to your party or PC. If everything is full, the prize stays claimable until you make room. Claiming is not available inside the dungeon or prison worlds.
