Flower Boy

The Flower Boy stands two blocks east of the Flower Girl's shop in the city (757, 9, -259). He collects flowery Pokemon - show him one and he hands you a Flower Petal that can recolor a flowery Pokemon's look.

Showing him a Pokemon

Throw a Poke Ball holding one of your flowery Pokemon at him (your Pokemon is returned safely). The first time he sees each individual Pokemon he admires it and pays one random Flower Petal. Each individual Pokemon can only ever be shown once - it keeps that memory through recolors, evolution and trades - so bring him every new flowery friend you catch, hatch or raise. Eggs don't count; hatch them first!

Using a petal

Right-click a flowery Pokemon you own (outside of battle) while holding a petal to recolor it to that petal's color. The Pokemon must not be in a temporary form. Some rules:

  • A Pokemon already wearing that color refuses the petal.
  • Special looks (ghost and event palettes) are protected and refuse petals.
  • Shiny Pokemon refuse petals - except the Flabebe line, whose natural flower colors each have a shiny version, so a shiny Flabebe/Floette/Florges can swap between them.
  • Shadow-tier flowery Pokemon accept petals too and keep their tier.
  • Petal looks count as texture palettes: they appear in texture plushies and the plushie dex.
