Farmhand Steve¶
Farmhand Steve is a rare wandering NPC trainer who shows up near players out in plains, meadow, and grassland biomes. Each spawn pass rolls a 1 in 1,000 chance to send him your way, at most once per player per hour, and he packs up and leaves about 30 minutes after arriving.
Battling Steve¶
Right-click Steve to challenge him. He fields 6 random competitive farm-animal Pokemon at level 70 with tactical AI, and Dynamax is disabled. Beating him pays out every time:
- A pokeball tip: 1 in 5 for a Master Ball, otherwise 1 in 50 for a Park Ball, otherwise 30 Safari Balls.
- A 1 in 100 chance that his own Straw Hat comes off and joins your inventory, announced to the whole server.
- Access to his animal shop.
If you lose, he sticks around so you can regroup and try again.
The animal shop¶
After a victory, right-click Steve again to browse Farmhand Steve's Animals: a 27-entry catalog of farm animal spawn eggs, ordered by the Gathering level each one unlocks at. Prices are paid in items straight from your inventory, no money involved. The animals you buy are for your ranch, and ranch protection rules keep placed animals safe.
