Llama¶

A fluffy spitter that guards the caravan.
The Llama Egg¶
Sold by Farmhand Steve after you defeat him in battle. It is a one-time-use spawn egg: right-click the ground inside a claim or rented plot where you can build (overworld only) to release a permanent Llama onto your ranch. Requires Gathering level 58 to buy AND to use, and the animal counts toward your 50-animal ranch cap. Ranch Protection (toggled per claim in /claimmanager) keeps released animals safe from harm.
Steve's price:
x64 Hay Bale
x64 Carrot
x64 Tamato Berry
A Turtle Ticket (earned by defeating the Ninja Turtle) pays for any ONE egg in place of its full item cost - the Gathering gate still applies.
Other ways to find the egg¶
Once you have the Gathering level, llamas can hand you the egg themselves: every time you feed one, defeat one in combat, or startle one with the Leaf Staff, there is a 1 in 1,000 chance it leaves a Llama Egg behind (announced server-wide). That rate is tuned by how cheap and renewable its food is.
Feeding llamas¶
Same as the horse, but its rolls come from the found-chest PIXELMON table.
Accepted snacks still roll the 1-in-50,000 pet and 1-in-1,000 mob egg chances, and pay a little Gathering XP.
The Llama Pet¶
Feeding (1 in 50,000), defeating (1 in 5,000), or leaf-startling llamas can earn you the Llama Pet - one per player, ever. While it follows you it improves that animal's feeding odds and can add a bonus drop on your kills. Its unique perk - Wool Press: your out llama pet presses 1-3 bonus wool out of every accepted snack. All unique perks scale with the pet's mood.
The Llama Spawner¶
Trade Llama Eggs back to Steve for a Llama Spawner: a placeable spawner that keeps a hardy, farmable llama on your claim - complete with its own job.
