Corrupt Tier

Corrupt is the second rung of the tier ladder: Shadow, Corrupt, Void, Abyss, Eternal, Infinity. It sits one step above Shadow and one below Void.

Getting a Corrupt Pokemon

Corrupt is reached only at the Cloning Machine, by upgrading a Shadow-tier Pokemon.

Unlike Shadow, a Corrupt Pokemon earns battle experience normally and levels all the way to 120, past the usual 100 ceiling. Exp Candies (XS through XL) work. Rare Candies and rare sodas never work on any tiered Pokemon.

Stat scaling

Corrupt builds on the Shadow bump: Attack and Special Attack climb a little more, and Speed goes up too.

Look

  • Name color: a dark green to bright green to dark green gradient.
  • Aura: green motes spawn about a block out and converge inward on the Pokemon, fading from green through dark green to black as they arrive.

Tier rules

  • Evolves within its tier. Where the line evolves, a Corrupt Pokemon evolves into the Corrupt form of its next stage.
  • Shadow Moves and tier effectiveness. Like all tiered Pokemon, it fights with Shadow Moves, which compare tiers instead of types: a higher-tier attacker hits a lower-tier target for double damage, and an equal or lower tier hits for half. A Corrupt Pokemon beats a Shadow one and loses out to Void and above.
  • No heart gauge, no Hyper/Reverse Mode. Those belong to the Shadow tier only.

Purification

Purifying any tier returns the Pokemon all the way to its Normal form and swaps its Shadow Moves back to a regular moveset. From Corrupt and above, the only route is a Time Flute, which works anywhere; the Purification Shrine only accepts a gauge-empty Shadow Pokemon.
