Land Claims

Claims protect everything you build. Inside a claim, only you and the players you trust can break blocks, place blocks, or open containers. You mark out land with a golden shovel, spend claim blocks on the area, and manage everything from the Claim Manager. Larger claims can be turned into towns and rented out to other players.

Claiming land

The claim tool is a golden shovel.

  1. Hold the golden shovel and right-click one block to set the first corner.
  2. Right-click the opposite corner. The area between the two corners becomes your claim.

A claim is full height, so you only pay for its floor area. Claims cannot overlap other players' claims, and a claim must cover at least 25 blocks (for example, 5 by 5). To resize a claim you own, right-click one of its corners to grab it, then right-click a new corner. Switching off the shovel cancels a selection in progress.

To see borders, hold a stick and right-click a claim to toggle its outline. Just holding the golden shovel inside your own claim also lights up its edges.

Claim blocks

Claims cost claim blocks equal to their floor area.

  • Everyone starts with 200 claim blocks.
  • Claim blocks do not refill over time. You get more by buying them, and you can sell unused ones back.
  • There is no limit on how many claims you own or how large they are, other than your available blocks.

Buy more from the Claim Block Shop in the Claim Manager:

Claim blocks Price
100 $1,000
500 $4,500
1,000 $8,000
5,000 $35,000
10,000 $60,000
50,000 $250,000

You can sell back blocks that are not in use with /sellclaimblocks <amount> at $1 each.

The Claim Manager

Open it with /claimmanager (or /claimsmanager). The menu shows your claim block balance and claim count, and has buttons to:

  • Buy Claim Blocks from the shop.
  • Manage Claims: browse your claims, with a help view on right-click.
  • Town Manager: manage your towns and rentals.
  • Expiration: upgrade how long your claims survive inactivity (see below).

To list your claims in chat, use /claims (also /pclaim or /claimlist). It shows each claim's location, size, warps, and any town or rental details.

Trust

Trust is granted on the claim you are standing in. Use /trust <player> for full trust, or add a level to limit it:

Level What it allows Command
access Use doors, buttons, and levers /trust <player> access
container Open chests and other containers /trust <player> container
build Break and place blocks (also grants container and access) /trust <player> build
mayor Manage trust and subclaims (owner only can grant this) /trust <player> mayor
  • /trust public trusts everyone at that level. Only the owner can trust the public or appoint a mayor.
  • /untrust <player> (or /untrust public) removes all of that player's trust.
  • Container and access trust can be handed out on their own with /claimcontainertrust and /claimaccesstrust, and removed with /claimcontaineruntrust and /claimaccessuntrust.
  • /trustlist shows who is trusted and at what level.

Warps, spawns, and explosions

  • Warps: the owner or a mayor sets a claim warp at their feet with /claimsetwarp [name] (the default name is home). Teleport to one with /claimtp <name> (or /claimwarp).
  • Wild spawns: toggle whether wild Pokemon spawn inside the claim with /claimspawns <true|false>.
  • Explosions: allow or block explosion damage to blocks with /claimexplosions <true|false>.

Managing and removing claims

Command What it does
/claimabandon (or /abandonclaim) Delete the claim you are standing in
/abandonallclaims Delete all of your claims
/transferclaim <player> Give a claim to another player

Towns and units

A large claim can become a town, which lets you create rentable units for other players.

  1. Stand in your claim and run /claimtown <name> to upgrade it into a town. This is free.
  2. Make a unit by holding the golden shovel and shift + right-clicking two opposite corners inside the town. Units are 3D (they have a floor and ceiling) and cost no claim blocks.
  3. Name and customize the town with /settownname, /settownwarp, /settowndescription (up to 120 characters), /settownicon (hold an item), and /settownpublic <true|false>.

Browse public towns with /towns, look one up with /towninfo [name], and keep troublemakers out with /townban and /townunban.

Renting units out

Units can be rented to other players using signs.

  • List a unit: write a plain number on a sign inside a vacant unit. That number is the daily rent in dollars.
  • Rent it: a player right-clicks the sign. This charges one day of rent up front and gives them build access to that unit for 24 hours at a time.
  • Prepay: a tenant left-clicks (punches) their own sign to add more days. If rent is overdue, punching pays off everything owed.
  • Evict: the owner or a mayor punches the rented sign twice (the second punch counts between 2 and 10 seconds after the first) to confirm. Eviction refunds the tenant their unused prepaid days, paid by the evictor, so it is blocked if the evictor cannot afford the refund. The tenant then gets a 7-day grace period with free access before the unit clears. Cancel a pending eviction with /unevict (or /canceleviction), or wipe a tenant's back rent with /forgive.
  • A tenant can trust a helper in their rented unit with /subclaimtrust <player>, and toggle wild spawns and explosions there with /subclaimspawns and /subclaimexplosions.

Rent you collect is paid to you as the town owner, right away or the next time you log in.

Expiration

Claims are removed if their owner stops logging in. Simply logging in resets the timer. You can extend the window from the Claim Manager's Expiration button:

Tier Inactivity allowed Cost
Default 30 days Free
Sixty 60 days $250,000
Ninety 90 days $1,000,000
Never Never expires $5,000,000

The chosen tier applies to all of your claims.
