Master Sword and Hylian Shield¶
The Master Sword and Hylian Shield are the two premium PvM items, each a 1-in-100,000 pull. Both auto-scale their stats to your PvM tier, so they stay best-in-slot no matter how far you progress.
The Master Sword¶
Pulling the sword¶
The Master Sword is pulled from one of two pedestals in the city, at coordinates (761, 10, -295) and (761, 10, -309). Click a pedestal (either mouse button) to attempt a pull. There is no skill or level requirement to try:
- Each click rolls 0 to 99,999. A roll of 0 (1 in 100,000) gives you the Master Sword.
- Every other roll returns a flavor message about how close you came; the rarest specific rolls broadcast server-wide.
- A 5-second cooldown sits between your attempts, and you need a free inventory slot to pull.
A successful pull is announced to the whole server.
Stats and behavior¶
The Master Sword is a PvM melee weapon. Its Attack and Defense auto-scale to your PvM tier, mirroring the Scythe (the strongest melee weapon) at that tier, so it upgrades itself as you climb. It equips into a Pokemon's weapon slot for free.
Spin Attack¶
The Master Sword's energy special is Spin Attack, which costs a full 100 percent charge. Shift-attack a foe to unleash it:
- A green cyclone spins around you for 5 seconds across 7 cycles.
- Each cycle strikes every PvM foe within 3 blocks once, for 30 percent of a normal swing.
- A foe that stays in the ring for all 7 cycles takes all 7 strikes.
The cyclone interrupts cleanly if you stop holding a Master Sword, die, change dimension, or disconnect.
Dual-wielding¶
Holding a Master Sword in each hand doubles the Spin Attack: each cycle's strike is multiplied by the number of Master Swords you hold (one sword is 1x, dual-wielded is 2x), and any Sharpness on the blades feeds in too. Two players running their own cyclones stack.
The Hylian Shield¶
The Hylian Shield is not pulled from the pedestal. Instead, while inside a PvM world holding a vanilla shield, every hit you take from a PvM enemy rolls 0 to 99,999. A roll of 0 (1 in 100,000 per hit) transforms that vanilla shield into a Hylian Shield, announced server-wide. It is one roll per damage event no matter how big the hit, so the odds cannot be farmed with oversized or friendly damage.
The Hylian Shield is the premium PvM shield:
- Its Defense and Special Defense auto-scale to your tier, at 20 percent better than the best defensive stat on that tier's chestplate.
- It carries a 10 percent full-block perk: each held Hylian Shield rolls a 10 percent chance to negate an incoming PvM blow entirely.
