Salmon¶
Salmon is a base catch on the server's Fishing ladder. It bites from the very first cast in Cold, River.

Fish only bite in the right biome. Casting where Salmon does not live reels up junk instead, so check the biome pages above for where to go. Each biome page also lists the Pokemon you can hook there.
Gutting¶
Gutting Salmon (shift + right-click) gives Roe, which cooks into dishes like the Crab Rangoon.
Cooking uses¶
Every dish that takes Salmon, with the other ingredients (each links to its own page) and the Cooking XP it pays. Raw Salmon is roasted on a Campfire first; the cooked fillet then goes into the bigger dishes.

Salmon is a Fish entry on the Cold, River pages in the Fishing Compendium (/fishingdex). Reeling one in records your best weight and ticks it off that biome's checklist; filling a whole biome pays a one-time reward.
