Shiny Charm

A permanent account charm that multiplies shiny odds for wild spawns and eggs. Earned through Dex Achievement tiers, not carried.

How to obtain

  • Claim Dex Achievements Default Dex tier 9 (catch all 1,025 species) or Texture Dex tier 9 (2,163 texture entries). Granted permanently, no item to carry.

Use in breeding

The Shiny Charm multiplies your shiny odds everywhere, including eggs. It stacks with the Masuda method: parents with different original trainers already breed shinies at 6x odds, and the charm multiplies that again.

Like the Oval Charm it is not an item you carry: it is a permanent account unlock from the Dex Achievements, earned by claiming Default Dex tier 9 (catch all 1,025 species) or Texture Dex tier 9 (register 2,163 texture entries).
