Frog¶
A tiny frog that measures the world in hops.
How to get it¶
Every time you feed a frog (1 in 50,000), or land the final blow on one in combat or with the Leaf Staff (1 in 5,000), you have a chance to earn this pet - wild, ranch, and Frog Spawner animals all count. Earning it is broadcast server-wide, and it never rolls once you own it.
Care and feeding¶
Hunger runs from 100 to 0 over about four days. One food from the pool below is the pet's daily favorite (it rotates every day): favorites restore 40 hunger, everything else restores 15. Mood climbs while the pet stays well fed (hunger 60+) and slowly sinks when it is hungry; building a top mood takes real days of care, so feed it before it asks.

The perks¶
While this pet follows you, feeding frogs pays out a random piece of low-value treasure - and its 1-in-500 special is a Relic Crown (a royal croak indeed) at better odds the happier it is: from the base 1 in 10 down to 1 in 5 at maximum mood.
Its unique perk - Spring Legs: your out frog pet makes it scan for ripe berries up to twice as often. It scales with the pet's mood while it follows you.
It also sweetens your kills: defeating frogs with a weapon (the Leaf Staff and Leaf Axe do not count) has a chance to drop one bonus Slimeball, scaling with its happiness from a 10% floor up to guaranteed at 100% mood - wild animals and Frog Spawner animals both count.
