Farming Netherite

Netherite is the server's most sought-after crafting metal, because Netherite Blocks are the strongest Cloning Machine boost blocks. Three Netherite Blocks give the highest possible success chance at every shadow-conversion step, and from Abyss tier upward they are effectively mandatory. This guide gathers every way to obtain the three forms of netherite in one place.

The three forms

Netherite comes in three items that convert up a chain:

So one block is worth 9 ingots or 36 scrap. Many sources drop the finished block directly, which is by far the fastest route to Cloning Machine fuel.

Item Sell value (/sellgui) Main use
Netherite Scrap $165 Crafts into ingots
Netherite Ingot $500 Crafts into blocks, netherite gear
Netherite Block $4,500 Cloning Machine boost block

Where blocks come from (the fast route)

If you only care about Cloning Machine fuel, chase blocks directly:

  • Bosses
    • Alpha Boss: 1 in 10 defeats drop a block.
    • Hard Boss Zone (Arceus): the 1st-place player is guaranteed a block (everyone else earns ingots, see below).
    • Warden summit: roughly 1 in 16 (the summit more often pays ingots).
  • Shiny Mystery Chest: a 1 in 20 reward when you open a Shiny Mystery Key.
  • Leaf Key (Autumn event only): 1 block from the Uncommon table, or 9 blocks from the Rare table.
  • Exchanges: buy one outright for 1 Shiny Point (/shinyexchange) or 40 Legendary Points (/legendexchange). See Exchanges.
  • Prison mines: a very rare mineable block hidden in many mine palettes.
  • Warden Dex track: 1 / 3 / 6 blocks at the tier milestones (Dex achievements).
  • Skilling Kit (tier 4): includes one block.
  • Upgrade Scientist bench: craft one from 12 Epic Candy plus a Diamond Block.

Where ingots come from

  • Hard Boss Zone (Arceus): every non-winning participant is guaranteed 3 ingots.
  • 7-star Shadow Raid: guaranteed 3 ingots on completion.
  • Supreme Boss: the most common key-slot reward, x3-6 ingots (about 70% of kills).
  • Alpha Boss: the most common reward-slot roll, x2-4 ingots (90% of kills).
  • Warden summit: the most common summit roll, x5-8 ingots (about 57%).
  • Trial Vaults (vanilla content): a fixed netherite roll, with much better odds inside ominous vaults.
  • Dungeons: ingots appear in dungeon chest loot.
  • Lava Sword: melting a wild Steel-type Pokemon out in the wild with a charged Lava Sword (a dungeon tool) has a 75% chance of a random metal ingot, and 1 in 6 of those is netherite (about 1 in 8 melts). The Lava Sword cannot be used inside dungeons.
  • Found Chests and looting: ingots are part of the hidden-chest loot pool, and 1 in 5 of the plain slots inside Warzone chests rolls a Netherite Ingot (scaled by party strength).
  • Thieving: pickpocket Boss NPCs.
  • Mining achievement: the first Mine Stone tier (mine 5,000 stone) awards an ingot (Mining achievements).
  • Pixelmon drops: defeated wild Archaludon, Darkrai, Duraludon, and Silvally can drop ingots.
  • Structure chests: generated Bastion loot.

Where scrap comes from

  • AFK Mining: AFK mining trains the Mining skill, and at Level 82+ it also turns up Ancient Debris for roughly 80 to 130 netherite scrap per hour (more with mining perks).
  • Dungeons: scrap appears in many dungeon chest pools.
  • Trial Vaults (vanilla content): a weighted reward, given in stacks of 4.
  • Pixelmon raids: 4-star and higher raids drop scrap (raid rewards and raid-den chests).
  • Skyblock Ranch: the Cobble Works and Magnet Loft machines produce scrap.
  • PvM Nether (PvM worlds): dropped by mobs there.
  • Thieving: pickpocket Pirate Captain NPCs.
  • Found Chests: part of the overworld hidden-chest pool.
  • Mining achievements: the Mine Stone tiers award 2 to 12 scrap as you climb them.
  • Pixelmon drops: defeated wild Dialga, Druddigon, Giratina, Hoopa, Palkia, and Type: Null can drop scrap.

Looting chests and Pixelmon drops at a glance

  • Looting chests: Found Chests across the overworld hold both scrap and ingots; Warzone chests are the richest, turning 1 in 5 plain slots into ingots; Bastion structure chests hold ingots and scrap.
  • Pixelmon drops: no Pokemon drops the block, but several legendaries and pseudo-legendaries drop the ingot or scrap when defeated (listed above). There are no per-species netherite drops beyond those and the 4-star+ raid tables.
