Graveyard

Graveyards are structures that generate in the overworld, not a biome and not a biome warp destination. The Pokemon that spawn around a graveyard are whatever the surrounding biome provides, but two things change while you stand near the structure: spirit Pokemon can replace normal spawns, and the ghost palette roll improves at night.

Spirit spawns

Near a graveyard structure, each wild spawn has a chance to be replaced by a spirit Pokemon instead, wrapped in the swirling spirit palette:

Time Chance to replace a spawn
Night 1 in 500
Day 1 in 1,000

Spirit spawns are drawn from a fixed Halloween-themed species list: the Cubone and Marowak line (including Alolan), Yamask with Cofagrigus and Runerigus, Phantump and Trevenant, Pumpkaboo and Gourgeist, Greavard and Houndstone, Gimmighoul and Gholdengo, Poltchageist and Sinistcha, plus many bug, bird, and small mammal lines and several regional forms. The spirit palette is a normal catchable, tradeable look. When one appears, the server announces it with its coordinates. See the spirit palette page for the full mechanic.

Ghost palette boost

The ghost palette roll is 1 in 80,000 everywhere. At night it improves to about 1 in 72,000, and at night next to a graveyard structure it improves again to about 1 in 64,800. Ghost is rolled before shiny, so a ghost is never also shiny. The day rate near a graveyard is the standard 1 in 80,000.

The Halloween palette is a separate event-only look and does not come from graveyards. The Halloween-themed Pokemon that appear here wear the spirit palette instead.
